This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students from Atlanta are part of McNair High Achievers. They are members of various organizations and want to make a big difference in their school and community through monthly impact projects.
The McNair High Achievers want their classmates to experience an interactive-real-world field-trip that they can relate to their education.
They want to communicate their results effectively and share with others. They will challenge each other to connect their favorite sport to Math, Science, English, Physical Education, Technology, and Art.
My Project
The College Football Hall of Fame has state-of-the-art artifacts, interactive displays, multimedia exhibits, and allows students to be active learners. This memorable experience connects education to college football.
Students will have an opportunity to play the role of a Sports Broadcaster predicting the game results and analyze scorecards.
They will test their trivia knowledge, create marching band routines, perform, and run through plays. They will learn how players balance academics, practice, and media attention.
They will look for trends, compare & contrast scorecards for college stadiums to obtain Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) certifications for Green Building Council (USGBC).
