Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a second year Health and Physical Education teacher in Southwest Washington, DC. Every year, many schools dread, but put so much effort into a fun-filled Field day. As the Physical Education teacher, it is my job to make sure this day runs as effectively as possible, all while ensuring that the students are having a great time.

I am asking for these materials to have a consistent theme of Carnival for many years to come.

This list will help with sustainability, and the pressure of having to recreate the wheel every year. Everything on this list follows a carnival game theme, with some strategic methods, and physical activity as well.

Last year was my first year at my current school, and both staff and students were so appreciative about how much fun it was, and how smoothly it ran. That day was, "The best field day we've ever had!" My students and school community deserve to have something special like field day every year.
