My Project

I teach at a middle school at a low-income community. Most of my students are new to the country or are from families who struggle to stay afloat due to financial hardships. Many parents work two to three jobs to keep a roof over their family's head and food on the table.

I would like to provide sports equipment for my students to enjoy a fun filled day of sports, camaraderie, and fun.

A field day at the end of the year will be an amazing surprise for my students. They will have a ton of fun while enjoying each other's company, playing different games and sports and having healthy competitions.

The donations in this project will be used over and over again by several grade levels and learning academies at my school. They will also be used by the after school program as well as the summer program and will be utilized for years to come. Furthermore, we would like to use the material in this project to roll out family events for our school community to come together and enjoy each other's company a few times throughout each school year.
