Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using fidget toys can really help 11th graders who struggle with test anxiety by giving them a way to manage their stress and stay focused. These simple tools can be calming, which means students are less anxious and can concentrate better on their work. For a diverse group of students (such as those as SPHS), including bilingual learners and those with disabilities, fidget toys are an easy, low-key way to support everyone’s needs without causing disruptions.

The main goals of this project are to help students do better on their tests by reducing their anxiety, to make them feel more at ease, and to keep them engaged in their learning.

My students are special because they come from varied backgrounds and have unique needs and strengths. By adding fidget toys, you're helping me to create a more supportive and inclusive environment that helps all students feel more comfortable and focused in class. This is especially important as in NYS we take end of the year regents exams which can be very stressful for students as they dictate whether they can graduate or not!
