My Students

I currently have 16 students in my special education (ESE) class. My students are special needs students and have a love for technology, reading, math and science. They are very excited about learning and I want to keep them excited about learning by providing them with a treasure chest full of rewards they enjoy and will work hard to earn. The students in my classroom are a diverse group of children who come from intricate family backgrounds. I teach at a low-income school, and I'm in a classroom full of eager learners who are enthusiastic about coming to school every day!

My Project

The use of chair bands for fidgety feet, sensory toys, and classroom supplies will provide the students in the class what they need to help them stay focus on their classwork.

My students loves to play Jeopardy, and the use of the buzzers will give them the sense of actually being on the show.

My students have to tendency to tap and fidget in their seats and with their hands, so the fidgety bands will allow them to do so without disturbing the others around them. Many of them also have to have something in their hands to touch, so adding the sensory toys and the treasure chest will give them something to earn during reward Friday's.

My students are also economically challenge and are without school supplies, so having them readily available will ease the shame and embarrassment of not being prepared for school.
