Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a high school special education teacher in a Title 1 school, I am dedicated to creating an environment where all students, regardless of their circumstances, can thrive. My students face significant challenges, both academically and personally, and often require additional tools to help them stay focused and engaged in their learning.

I am seeking funding to purchase fidget toys for my classroom.

These tools will serve a dual purpose: as an incentive to encourage positive behavior and as a resource to help students manage their focus and attention during lessons. Research has shown that fidget toys can be highly effective in promoting concentration and reducing stress, especially for students with diverse learning needs.

Given the socioeconomic challenges faced by my students, access to such tools is not possible without external support. Your contribution will directly impact these young learners, helping them to build skills, confidence, and a more positive educational experience.
