My Project

Math is a source of anxiety for many students. You can walk into a room and if there is math on the board you will see people instantly tense up. An easy way to make the transition to a calm learning environment is to change the lighting. You would not think that by just adding a picture or calm color over the harsh overhead lighting would make a difference but it certainly does. I have seen first hand how just adding color to the light will change the mood and demeanor of students. That added relaxation makes them ready to learn.

Fidgets are simple way to relieve mental stress for so many people.

Math is a subject so many people find difficult and a source of stressful feelings. Having a variety of choices for students to use during instruction helps them relax and then they are able to focus on the lesson. A simple calming strip that a person can trace relaxes the mind and allows the learning to happen.
