This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a social worker in a South Bronx middle school seeking funding for a variety of fidget toys for my students to use in class when they are feeling stress.

Students come to my office throughout the day sharing that they are feeling stress in their classrooms due to difficulties academically, family issues, interactions with peers, and clinical anxiety.

My intention with these students is to de-escalate their stressful feelings and have them return to academic instruction with a better emotional state than when they came to my office.

Your donation of fidget toys will provide my students a positive outlet for them to release their excess energy before they return to class and to use if needed in their classrooms during instruction. Utilizing fidget tools will teach my students that there are alternative ways to release their stress and anxiety.
