I am a third-grade teacher to 28 students who live in a low socio-economic area in Orange County, CA. This year, I am working with students who I worked with in first grade in 2020. However, due to Covid were forced to move online in March. I am so happy to work with them again in person and now in 3rd grade!
Learning about oneself and celebrating our similarities, differences, and beautiful minds is what we hope to accomplish this year.
I hope to create the least restrictive environment for them this year and provide them with a warm classroom that they want to come to every day.
My Project
Help my students to focus in the classroom by providing them with these awesome fidget tools! I would like to motivate them by earning these fidget prizes from our classroom treasure chest! Each week, they work towards earning tickets and we raffle off prizes on Friday. I would love to see them look forward to the end of each week as they could earn their own fidget tool!
In order to help students focus, we need to calm their minds and bodies.
By using these tools and plushies as a mechanism to calm their brains, it would help our classroom mentality! Please help our class to better focus our mind and body!
