My Project

Each year my eighth-grade students dissect a fetal pig for their biology unit. Students begin learning about the cell and work their way up through genetics and body systems.

Dissecting the pig affords students the opportunity to make connections between their body and the pig's anatomy.

The systems are similar and allow them to see how one of the systems works together with the others to function as a whole organism.

My students love this project and I am not sure if there is room in the budget for each student to have a pig to dissect, which is why I am asking for donations for this project.
