My Project

I teach art to students that come from diverse backgrounds. Every year my school celebrates their diversity through the Festival of Lights Art Show. This event will expose them to an array of cultures through multiple art forms including music and storytelling. They will also explore different art mediums, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. This art show aims to foster an inclusive, enriching experience that not only enhances students’ appreciation for the arts but also nurtures global awareness and empathy.

Students will explore the theme of light through various cultural traditions from around the world, learning about the significance of different festivals, customs, and art forms.

By participating in the creation and celebration of these traditions, my students will gain a deeper appreciation for not only the arts, but also foster a sense of cultural awareness and shared humanity that will enrich their personal growth and their contributions to society.
