My Project

I currently teach three and four year old students with special needs. They have a variety of disabilities from speech and language delays to autism. They have so much potential despite their disabilities.

Many of my students require tactile and sensory stimulation to keep them engaged and retain new information.

Reading is a fundamental skill needed to be successful in life. The addition of these sensory books will help meet their sensory needs along with creating a love for learning. These books will be used during transitions as they have difficulty with idle time. A book bin will be provided for students to choose a book to interact with while waiting for their peers.
