This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Meet class 919. We are a 12:1:1 self-contained Kindergarten/First Grade Bridge particular education class in a NYC Public School. Your class comprises 12 children, one teacher, and one paraprofessional teacher. Most of our children are diagnosed with Autism and require additional support in Speech and Language, Occupational therapy, and Physical therapy. We are asking you to help us support these children and meet their specific needs.

Have you ever heard the saying, " He has ants in his pants?" or felt you had the heebie-jeebies, could not sit still or focus, and were easily distracted by these sensations?

Well, this is us! We need sensory toys, balls, lights, and other extra materials to help them ease those pesky feelings and deregulate their nervous systems so they can join their classmates and participate in comfortable classroom activities. Thank you so much for all of your support!
