This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of the children that I work with oftentimes come to school without eating breakfast. It is extremely challenging for them to focus on learning while they have an empty stomach. I work with the most amazing population of children in the absolute best school in my city! I would love to be able to provide my students with the option of having a snack to eat while they are putting in the hard work of learning to read. Sometimes some of the biggest learning challenges are simply solved with a snack and a good book!
