Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my students are very passionate about soccer. They are on local teams, club teams and superfans. They play every PE, recess and any other chance they get. I would love to add books to my classroom library that peak their interest.

Fifth grade is a critical year to students develop a passion for reading.

I know that if I have these high interest reads in my classroom, students will be more motivated to read. I have seen that when books that peak interest in students, they recommend them to friends and their passion from reading grows tremendously!
