My Students

Do you remember sitting in class hungry and wishing it was lunchtime? My students are more focused on their growling stomach's then on our lesson.

My students are fun loving teenagers with multiple disabilities ranging from physical disabilities, autism, down syndrome, speech and hearing impairments to mental retardation.

They LOVE TO LEARN and they do not allow their disabilities to impede their thirst for knowledge.

My Project

Many of my students cannot afford to bring a healthy snack to school every day. As their teacher, I feel it is my duty to find a way to help. I believe they would be able to concentrate fully on our lesson if their basic needs are met. I would like to provide my students with a mid-morning snack. They would be able to choose from a variety of healthy snacks to tide them over until lunch.

FEED USA and donors, by supporting my project, you would be providing the fuel my students need to nourish their minds and to keep them focused on our lessons so that they may reach their academic goals.
