Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Snacks are used to motivate the students, win them in raffles and just on days when kids are hungry and need a quick me up, they will be fed.

Well-nourished children have better school attendance rates, exhibit fewer behavioral problems, and are more engaged in the classroom.

In fact, food-insecure students are less likely to graduate high school. There are also school-related emotional and social setbacks when a child doesn't have enough to eat.

School meals give children access to healthy food that powers their day, sets them up for success in the classroom and ultimately helps them thrive. Some kids don't enjoy the school meals so help me help them succeed through meals and other SEL needs.
