My Students

My students are good, hard working young men. They are bright, positive, and talented. They come from all over the Borough of Brooklyn to attend FDR HS via public transportation. All they need is a chance and an opportunity to succeed. A strong and viable after school basketball program would benefit them greatly. Our program's goal is to help teach them the value of hard work, punctuality, and commitment. FDR is a public high school in Brooklyn. Our athletic budget has been cut due to budgetary constraints. These funds would greatly help our students to participate.

My Project

The materials and supplies that I am requesting already have a "home." I just need your help getting these items through our door and into our gymnasium. My students do not have a lot of money. They don't have the financial resources to join outside clubs and teams. Practicing sports is a great tool to develop great life skills such as hard work and commitment.

The supplies (basketballs) that I am requesting will help us to be able to practice and subsequently build my students' self esteem and confidence through trainings and games.

Every student should feel happy and confident in school.

I want to be able to provide this for my students.
