All of our fashion students this year have come to us with a passion and desire to dive into the fashion world/industry. These students have diverse backgrounds, skill sets, and confidence level, but fashion/the fashion club has given them a safe place to be themselves. This school year it took our club some time to get started due to schedules, pandemic surge, and adjusting to our "new norm", but it couldn't stop the drive and determination we had to see this club become a community of boys and girls tapping into their creative abilities.
These students have had to make numerous sacrifices and face various changes and their level of tenacity at such a young age, has increased my desire to celebrate them in a way that they would always remember, by gifting them with personalized gifts.
These students have blown my mind with the level of dedication and commitment that I have witnessed these past few months. Students have shown improvement in their classes, on assignments, and even in their treatment of other students. Teachers are now using the Fashion Club as an incentive to motivate students to do their best daily.
Materials in this project will be used to create personalized gifts for each club member as well as all student officers. Students with receive personalized items with their names or initials on them. Students will have an opportunity to create their own designs on the pencil/cosmetic case and berets. These items will be great gifts for any fashionista to create their own look, that will inspire others.
