LHS's Special Education Life Skills students are eager to utilize our class kitchen. Between five classrooms, we have lots of opportunities to build independent living skills through cooking, baking, and cleaning. Some of students utilize adaptive tools, such as a switch, to control on and off switches. Finding the right tools to support that need will allow for growth and inclusivity!
Our students host the Farmer's Cafe that allows our students to serve teachers throughout the school 1-2 times a month.
During this time the students utilize a range of their everyday living skills to prep, cook, serve, and more!
Our students have various capabilities so we are striving to provide an inclusive and comprehensive kitchen space that meets every student's unique needs.
