My Project

I am the new STEM teacher at our school! I have inherited a piece of land behind my new classroom! It's full of grass and weeds. We need tools so I can get my students to start with the garden area. This is to prepare for our farm-to-fork garden.

Currently, we have three planter boxes right next to my old classroom.

They are not moveable. That project was for our NASA mission project. Now, I have this usable land for students to grow real foods. The planter boxes are filled with lettuce for now.

Students at our school have so many interests. This garden will be a part of my middle school STEM classes, but I will invite the younger grades to help out with the garden during recess or any break times they may have to incorporate their love of gardening into the school day.
