My Students

I work with a wonderful and diverse group of 29 5th graders. We celebrate our differences in my classroom and know that as learners we may need different things at different times to be our very best.

"Learning Today, Leading Tomorrow" is our schools motto.

We work hard to establish a warm, welcoming classroom community where all students can succeed.

My students benefit from making choices in how they learn best. One of the choices I hope to offer them this year, is flexible seating options.

My Project

We are often in our classroom for many hours without a formal break due to scheduling. My fifth grade students work so hard each and every day and I strive to make their learning environment comfortable for them.

We have a lot of learning to fit it to our day, but with these wobble stools, students will have the opportunity to move while working!

This often improves concentration and focus.

I know that this will have a huge impact on my students! I have seen how some students work improves dramatically when they have opportunities to move. I hope to provide this option whenever possible.
