Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This year, I am the new art teacher at my school. I want to inspire the children to explore different materials and create fantastic works of art, but I need art materials to do that.

I work in a school in Brooklyn that has almost 800 students from pre-k to fifth grade.

I will be working with most of them during this year, teaching art. They are talented, curious, and they love to experiment and learn new techniques as they express their ideas through art.

My Project

I want my students to explore different materials while creating art projects. I need construction paper, drawing paper, and glue so my students can do collages. I need a drying rack to dry my students' work. I will use the materials to connect our art projects to some of the themes that they are exploring in their literacy, social studies, and science units.
