This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My scholars are excited about learning and enjoy participating in school activities. They live in a city that is challenged by poverty and crime. Yet, they are inspiring, resilient, and deserve the best of every educational opportunity. Oftentimes, school is the most significant and positive part of their day. They are supportive and encouraging to one another and like opportunities to work and present their work in class. One of their daily mantras is: "Good, better, best. Never let it rest, until your good becomes better and your better becomes best!"
My Project
Connection to the family is a top priority in my classroom. I would enjoy the opportunity for students to share their learning with their family. This not only connects the classroom to the home, but it also gives students an opportunity to strengthen their skills and to feel a sense of accomplishment. This project would be a phenomenal opportunity for growth and tremendously increase communication between home and school. Your support of this project will give my students an opportunity to expand their skill set and to provide information to connect home and school. Thank you in advance for your support.
