My Students

I have the pleasure of teaching over two hundred 6th and 7th graders. These students are located from all over the New York City area. These students are some of the most hardworking and dedicated people I know. Many of them have huge aspirations to change the world. My students are a part of the New York City’s SOAR through reading program for gifted and talented students. These children come to school everyday with the biggest smiles on their faces and are always ready to learn.

My Project

Help increase my students' reading comprehension, vocabulary growth, spelling facility, understanding of grammar, and knowledge of the world by allowing my students to foster a love of reading. These books will provide my scholars with resources to use ay home to help support their studies.

These books will help my 6th and 7th grade students naturally find they love to read and build confidence when they choose their own reading materials helping to create a life long love of reading.

By purchasing these indecent reading titles my students will get to make genuine choices about their reading material and increase the likelihood they engage more in reading, and increases their effort and commitment to reading.
