My students are experiencing school for the first time, in a way no one else has ever experienced school. They are boys and girls from very diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and abilities. Our classroom community welcomes all who enter to grow with us as we read, sing, dance, paint, share, eat, and learn.
My goal, as a teacher, is to expose all of my students to new and exciting materials and programs, regardless of their needs or backgrounds, in order to spark interest and creativity!
My Project
This year has started with a great back-to-school experience. I have 3 and 4 year old students, and they were so eager and excited to be in-person! The problem is they are having trouble hearing me read-aloud from behind my mask. With a personal voice amplifier I will not have to shout, and they can hear me and experience the stories easily.
In addition, although my young students are having fun, they are still in need of some supplies for the year.
We need some more Play-doh, so they each have their own can to use. We need some disposable face masks to keep us safe. We also need golf pencils so they can start practice writing. Finally, I am requesting some turkey stickers for a fun Thanksgiving craft.
