Fairy Tale Classics - Books for My Class

My Project

The other day in class, I made a reference to a classic fairy tale; the Three Little Pigs.

I was shocked to see that more than half my class was not familiar with the classic fairy tale.

I then asked about some more stories and many of them don't know these classics. Times have changed over the years and these classics aren't read as often.

We will be entering a unit on Peter Pan soon and I would love my students to have access to other classic fairy tales to read. These tales have such great messages and lessons that I feel every child should know. I also have included some fractured tales which are so fun! They tell the story from the antagonist's view and are awesome to teach point of view as well as compare and contrasting skills. Additionally in this project I have some choose your adventure versions of the fairy tales. I haven't seen these yet in person but my students love the traditional choose adventure books so I think these will be an awesome addition to our library.

The other small items will be added to our prize box to be used as incentives throughout the year. I thank you for your time and consideration of funding this project.
