Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Firsties have so much energy and so much excitement and I want to direct it into the right kinds of choices toward creativity, fun, and learning! Multi-modal activities are more effective and help with problem solving and critical thinking.

The materials in this project will provide a variety of mediums for students to work with, to make conceptual topics physically tangible, and excite and engage them to want to do more!

Sand, scratch paper, pom-poms, glitter bring pizzazz and variety to subjects that are normally done with just paper and pencil. Students will be able to craft products that help make their topics visual, physical, and conceptual all at the same time. They love working with their hands and tactile learning engages more parts of the brain to make learning stick!
