Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are awesome! They are rambunctious 1st graders who love learning! They are excited every day about what new things that they will learn!

My students have a wide range of ability and needs.

I have some kids with speech difficulties, as well as advanced students, some are at least 2 years behind in grade level, too. Several are on level, but just need that extra push, these learning centers will help with that!

No matter what, they all try their best and work hard each and every day!

My Project

These learning centers and magnetic letters are basic items that every 1st grade class needs to become fluent readers. Unfortunately, I do not have them in my classroom. Many of my students are at least one to two grade levels behind. Many do not have the phonemic and phonological awareness that is needed to learn to read.

My students will love working in these visually stimulating and relevant learning centers.

The centers will be used daily during independent practice time.

I don’t have a small whiteboard for my desk, so when I am working with a small group they need lots of visual models that will help them succeed!
