My Students

My 5th grade ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching )students are ready to virtually face each and every day with excitement. My class consists of Special Education students, ENL (Students learning English for the first time) students of all levels, most of which have recently arrived in New York City and a few general education students. All of my students love to learn and many of them are kinesthetic or visual learners.

I want to give each of my students the foundation that they need so that they can aspire to be anything that they want to be and overcome any obstacles or challenges they may face along the way during these uncertain times.

My Title l school in Flushing, Queens has been working on social-emotional wellness by implementing Ruler. We recognize the importance of being mentally and emotionally healthy by connecting with one another.

My 5th graders and future students will greatly benefit from your help by allowing them to receive the materials that they need in order to be successful.

My Project

Ink is an an essential supply in our classroom. We use ink on a daily basis and unfortunately it goes very quickly. We print our writing pieces, guided reading materials, math materials and many other things. I print out important notices and directions for many of my students families in their home languages.

Having the ability to print with this ink allows me to differentiate on the fly for my ENL and SPED students by being able to modify what they are doing based on my observations during the lesson.

We have been so blessed to receive a printer copier at the start of the year, but the ink ran out amazingly quickly. With more ink, and the staplers being requested, the students will be able to independently print and staple their work. Stickers will help reinforce good work habits, and help motivate my students to do well. The keyboard will help my students practice important typing skills while utilizing an ipad.
