My Students
Help me make learning fun! My class loves to learn when art is integrated in our lessons. My 26 diverse students will have access to the tools they need to make learning accessible. In our ICT classroom, we have a wide range of abled students. Each of our students come from diverse learning backgrounds with varying strengths and needs. At our Title l school, each of our students are held to high standards and we want to make self- determination and independence attainable by supporting each child in the individual way they need.
My Project
FabLearn 2020 is a professional development that supports teachers hoping to grow their STEAM knowledge and build their Maker Space best practices. The conference takes place at Columbia University Teachers College.
The FabLearn Conferences bring together key influencers and thought-leaders from around the world in education, policy-making, academia, design, research, and maker communities to learn, present, and discuss digital fabrication in education, the maker culture, hands-on learning, and instructional tools.
With your support, I'll be able to attend this amazing conference and bring back a wealth of knowledge to integrate in my pedagogy and school's curriculum. I will continue to grow our Microblocks lessons using micro:bits and take workshops aimed to support teachers in integrating common core standards in awesome activities.
My goal is to continue growing our computer science activities in the classroom and integrate more opportunities for students to think like engineers. I will take what I learn and bring it back to my classroom to support my students' problem-solving thinking.
