Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am entering my third year as a teacher and I am proud to be teaching fourth grade again. My classroom is filled with many different students, some who do not speak English, some with learning disabilities, and many kids in between but none less loved. This year has been a challenging one, but the students have not missed a beat, every day they show how resilient they are. These students deserve a quality education regardless of where they are.

I believe in an even playing field, that is why when my students enter my classroom, I want to make sure that they have all of the resources they need.

Whether it's flexible seating or intervention programs, they should have access to quality education.

I know that with help from DonorsChoose, we will be able to provide a classroom that helps our students thrive.

My Project

September will be the first month our students will be back in the building full time since we left in April of 2020. I would love to provide them with a welcoming classroom, where they can get away from any outside noise and feel safe and ready to learn.

I am requesting different supplies such as wallpaper and borders to create a warm environment, by doing this I hope the students can see this small space as their home away from home.

I hope that you can help me make this vision become a reality for my future students.
