This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Donors... We have a problem! I have worked hard to create a range of math games for my students to reinforce key concepts, but we don't have a space to store these games in an organized, accessible way.

I am fortunate to work with 30 excited, intelligent first graders.

Our school is located in an impoverished urban community. All of my students receive free lunch, and most are English Language Learners for whom Spanish is the first language. Many schools and families are facing financial difficulties, and our school community is no exception. Despite the challenges of the economy and violent neighborhood, my students come into the classroom eager to learn each day.

My Project

Every day, my students beg to use math games to reinforce learning in fun and exciting ways. I am requesting a 24 cubby storage unit to hold math games. Each drawer can be labeled by skill or game title, and will hold the letter-sized materials that each game requires. These cubbies will be low to the ground, and therefore accessible to my young learners. This storage method will keep the games neat and organized so they last for years to come.

It may sound basic, but this storage unit will do wonders for our classroom.

Students will be organized, coveted materials will be kept in pristine condition, and games will be easy to find, saving precious instructional time. This storage unit will help make learning easier for all of my students. Thank you for your support!
