Where do I begin? I love my students! We are a Title I school, so there are quite a few students that come from low income homes, where some even live with other family members to make ends meet, but they still come ready to learn.
My 20 Second Grade students are excited to come to school; and although they might not have a lot, they come to school with a lot of love and greet me every morning!
This group of students' Kindergarten and First grade years were interrupted with the covid pandemic. We have a lot to cover this year, to try to make up the difference. Many of them have dealt with uncertainties and loss, which have made this year an even bigger challenge, but we are determined to make the best of what we have been given.
My Project
I am so excited about everything in my cart for my project and look forward to using them to help engage my class and make teaching more efficient!!
I would love a document camera that can be connected to my computer to help whenever we are doing virtual learning on Zoom or around my room in the classroom.
I have spent hours trying to make PowerPoints to try to help my students see specific worksheets we are working on, but with this document camera, I can just place the worksheet underneath and I can write on it and get the image to show on my computer screen to use on Zoom and in the classroom. I can also add variety and student engagement with colorful Post-It notes. The stand up desk will make working around my classroom more accessible and help to cut down on behavior problems while using proximity and still teaching.
I also would like a digital pen that I can use to draw on my worksheets and print them out, so I can add my own designs and make my assignments more creative and exciting.
I am also looking forward to using the pop-its with 100 bubbles, to help my students with math. Since my students are below due to Covid and my second graders love pop-its, the 100 bubbles would help them learn how to add and subtract from 100 in a fun new way.
