I have a wide range of students in my classroom. I teach in a Portuguese Immersion program. My students spend half the day with me learning in English, and the other half of the day with my co-teacher learning in Portuguese.
With the pandemic interrupting their 1st grade year I have many students who need extra support in early literacy and phonics.
In order to accommodate the range of skills my students need support in, I need more literacy supplies and books.
My Project
Most of these products will be used in a small group setting in order to help my struggling students who missed a big chunk of 1st grade. The other products will be used to help students who are on grade level advance in fun ways.
It is important to have many types of activities and hands-on learning experiences when practicing the same skill multiple times.
These products will help incentivize students who need the repetition.
My students will be excited to play new games and try new activities while still practicing the skills that are necessary to their reading success.
