Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

99% of our student come from impoverished households and the school budget barely covers the schools needs. Currently the art department is me on a cart going to each classroom. There are minimal supplies that I am making the most with. We are working to build the art department back up to what is should be and we need all the help we can get.

These various papers will allow the students to use materials correctly.

Watercolor paper is specific to watercolors because the water doesn't absorb into the paper. Mixed Media paper is heavier weight to be able to hold up to glue and acrylic paint. Scratch cards will be a great activity for our autistic support classrooms! Even copier paper is needed.

These papers are the basic to a great art program that teaches the students about the materials and the proper ways to create with them.
