Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We have begun using the creative curriculum, in which our students explore studies related to our day to day environment. My students love reading books and engaging in story time. I have limited books which makes it difficult to find ones that relate to the study we are exploring.

I want to provide my students with books to help them make connection between the studies we do and our environment.

These books will help them build their vocabulary, complex language skills, such as narrative comprehension, inferencing, and social communication. The containers will help keep the books organized as we go from one study to another throughout the year.
