My Project

My students absolutely enjoy a good book! Whether or not they are at grade reading level, having a book in their hands produces excitement, wonder, and awe. When I read aloud to them, I read with expression and action. This encourages them to pick up a book themselves and practice their own reading.

Reading a book brings about excitement and takes students to a world beyond the one in which they live.

In our classroom, books come alive. Struggling readers also get an opportunity to view books with pictures to help them grow stronger by "reading pictures".
