My Students

My second-grade classroom is transforming from a traditional classroom of instruction to a technology-infused classroom of collaboration and exploration.

At my school, students have a passion for learning but face unique challenges with the support of engaged families.

All of our school's students are eager to learn and have great potential. That is not to say that our school is without its challenges; our students deserve to learn skills that they can apply in their technology-rich futures and careers. I feel that providing opportunities for students to work with age-appropriate technology helps our students become better learners and gives them the foundations for a tech-infused future.

My Project

TIME For Kids and Scholastic News would make a difference in our students' learning and improve their school lives by introducing them to the culture around them. Students will be able to learn about their community near and far.

I feel that when students' learn more about the sense of culture and find that respect is a key aspect to be able to succeed in life.

Immersing students in a text that can give them a strong understanding of cultures and issues.

Students will be able to interact with age appropriate news articles. Through this they will build an understanding of non-fiction text and text features.
