Help me give the students health supplies. As a Health Aide in a low-income, high-poverty area, not all students are able to bring proper attire or supplies needed for the school season.
Our school teaches a variety of students from Hispanic, Native American, Caucasian, and African American backgrounds.
Some of these students come from low-income families who can't provide for their needs.
As a Health Aide, I want to see the students succeed academically without having them worry about where they will be getting their essential needs and supplies.
If the families are unable to provide needed resources to the students, then I want to be an open resource to provide and give the students what they need to succeed in school every day and do their best.
My Project
Living in a low-income area many families are unable to get clothing available for the school year. We experience all four seasons here in our area and some students come in shorts while it's cold outside and raining. We want what's best for kids and make sure they feel comfortable at school and to learn without having clothing be on their mind. Other reasons that we are asking for clothing is becuase students tend to have accidents which can be an easy fix here at school. Having clothes here will eliminate the need for a student to go home!
