My Project

My goal for my students is for them to feel emotionally safe and to learn coping skills to help them navigate all feelings and situations. My hope is for my students to feel empowered and good about themselves.

Students can express themselves through art and play in a safe way free of judgment.

I began using the sand tray with my students and this has been a wonderful way for them to express themselves and problem solve. The sand tray miniatures will allow my students more choice in creating their imaginary worlds. The dollhouse will allow my students to role play different scenarious through play. Model magic and watercolors allow students to express themselves and learn coping skills. Finally the readalouds about a variety of big feelings allow students identify with the characters and not feel alone.
