My Students

The students that I am lucky to work with every day are truly amazing. They are special needs students that put an incredible amount of effort into their daily routines. This year I will be teaching in a NEST classroom, that incorporates children with autism into a general education classroom setting. More than half of my students come from an economically challenged background.

Please consider funding this project as you can change the lives of my students.

My Project

The Express Yourself Project is based on a Cricut machine. A Cricut is a craft cutting machine. Designs can be created via computer, then sent to the machine. My students will be able to create their own book covers, project embellishments, flashcards, storyboards​, plus so much more.

Students who take ownership of their learning space will be more engaged and successful.

The Cricut machine will enable my students to enhance their projects and presentations on a professional level. I plan on working with my students to unleash their creativity. The machine will be utilized mostly during free time, to help prepare materials that will be used during instructional activities. By creating their own unique resources, my students will ultimately be more engaged in their learning.
