My Project

Makerspace meets art education in the new curriculum I'm teaching in the 2022-2023 school year to our K-4 students. Our students deserve the opportunity to express themselves through creativity. In our makerspace, students will replicate what actual artists do. Artists use their lived experiences to create their art. Students will become makers by exploring centers throughout the classroom and using their personal experiences to create.

Our students deserve a place to create, express themselves, use their hands to make, build, share their ideas, and experiences.

I'm going into my 9th year at our school and when I say we have the most amazing students, it's an understatement. They are going to thrive in this new class! The items I'm asking for are going to help build this new classroom. The LEGOs and art supplies will be put in centers for students to design and create. I can't wait to see all the different creations the students will make.
