Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are special as they are exposed to a high crime area, and it is difficult for them to come to school each day. The neighborhood is prone to neglect. Therefore, they tend to reach out to staff for things they lack at home. I love the children in my school as if they are my own. The children here are very smart with great potential. The children here are our future, and I am determined to help them maximize their full potential.

My Project

The students need to use the MacBook Air to open their learning lens and explore different computers. The students will have a chance to explore how to use different applications which are different from what they have been using.

The Mac will assist the students with creating music, creative videos and utilizing different programs purchased by our school district.

The Mac will assist our students with becoming competitive global learners. This will help them with the basic idea of steady beat in the songs, and it will also help to build the self-esteem that they need. The Mac is great for the kids because they can practice on their own, get comfortable and use them with little to no supervision. As they progress, they will be able to do team and independent work to build confidence and to practice socialization skills.
