My Students

My students are creative, curious, and caring. I love that the best part of my job is watching students grow in their academics but also within life. These students have found ways to preserve through a very challenging time during the pandemic. They have proven their strength and courage to continue to push through and grow. They have asked questions when they needed support, they have helped one another when they saw a peer in need, and they have allowed staff members grace as we have worked through the challenges we have never faced before. The best part of teaching is truly seeing the kids become all that they can be and helping them get there. Becoming a "family" is why I love what I do.

My Project

The world around us gives us a lot to wonder about! I am hoping to give the students in my class a fun experience to explore and learn about places they may not know much about! With your help, I am hoping to bring Time Magazine into the classroom for students to read and discuss with their peers. I think it is important to provide students with the opportunity to be aware of the world around them. Time Magazine will open up healthy discussions and questions, and encourage my students to not only read for enjoyment but also to continue to read to learn!
