This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project seeks to inspire curiosity and creativity among Pre-K students by introducing engaging, hands-on materials into our Light and Space unit. Young children are naturally captivated by the wonders of light, space, and planets, and exploring these topics helps them build foundational skills in science, critical thinking, and creativity.

By learning about the planets, stars, and mysteries of the galaxy, students not only spark their curiosity but also cultivate an appreciation for the natural world, develop problem-solving abilities, and foster a love of discovery that will last a lifetime.

Interactive materials like the Replogle Inflatable Solar System Set, Astronaut Galaxy Projector, and space-themed storybooks will allow students to actively explore these concepts, igniting their imaginations and enhancing their understanding of the universe.

This project addresses the critical need for age-appropriate, tactile resources to make the abstract concepts of light and space tangible and relatable. Students will investigate how light interacts with objects, visualize the scale of our solar system, and dream about the possibilities of exploring the stars.
