My Project

Our art class seeks funding to support an innovative project focused on printmaking and mixed-media techniques, aimed at fostering creativity and technical skill development among students. I work with a diverse group of students, including English Language Learners (ELL) and those from low-income backgrounds. Projects like this play a crucial role in helping them improve communication skills, build confidence, and express themselves more effectively through art.

To achieve these goals, we need essential materials that will greatly enhance our students' learning experience and artistic expression.

These materials include aprons to maintain a clean and professional workspace, rulers for precise measurement, plexiglass as a durable and versatile surface for printmaking and mixed-media applications, drawing compasses for creating detailed and accurate designs, stencils to ensure consistent pattern replication and a diverse range of paint to explore various styles and techniques. Equipped with these tools, students will engage deeply with traditional and experimental art practices, enhancing their technical skills and empowering them to express their unique voices. This project not only cultivates artistic talent but also strengthens critical thinking, communication skills, and confidence, key elements in both their creative and personal growth.
