Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class of 24 transitional kindergarten / kindergarten students live in the heart of Los Angeles! We are located in a small community in the north east area where everyone is like family. We have a little more than 300 students on campus and enjoy working in our green spaces. My class believes in teamwork and community building. We call ourselves, "Team Mighty little Eagles" because we work together and never give up on our goals.

Our class is always ready to work hard and become amazing life long learners.

We take on any challenge that comes our way. We are always supportive to one another and we never give up.

We would love to have you become part of our team by helping us have a wonderful experience this school year!

My Project

My students and I meet on line for live instruction. I am finding more and more ways to make it interactive and engaging each day, but nothing is as good as hands on math supplies. For now, we use crayons, pencils or anything they have at home to count.

These ten frames and math supplies will provide a great support for my students at home.

The number of math activities that they will be able to do are endless and they will not have to go around their homes searching for objects to use.
