Exploring Literacy with Hands on Learning

My Project

Even though the year is coming to an end, I am already getting resources for next year kindergarteners ready. Yes, I admit I am even more excited about next year with new ideas. I am always looking for new ways to engage my students learning at my small group table.

The hands2mind resources have many opportunities for sound practice, segmenting words, magnetic letters with activities and so much more.

I have chosen these materials to emphasize phonemic awareness. It is great to provide those hands on learning when manipulating letters.

I am also requesting brand new journals to surprise them after the first trimester. These journals will encourage writing in my students. I love using these because it gives them plenty of room to write but encourages illustrating their stories as well.

Please help my new Kindergarteners starting in August by giving them extra fun activities to get them excited about learning to read. Bring a smile to a child's face.
