My Project

STEM is a fun and interactive way to teach science curriculum. I love to use STEM activities with the science curriculum because I can interact more with students and see what they can do. These kinds of lessons help students understand the importance of the subject matter to better appreciate what they are learning and feel more invested in their education. I will be using my STEM items to explore the 3rd-grade science units. Our lessons include fossils and changing environments, life cycles, heredity, and survival. and selection, weather and climate, and force and motion. The items in my cart are reflected in the curriculum. For example, the clay dinosaurs will be used to give a hands-on approach to the fossils unit and the catapult kit will show the uses of force and motion.

STEM promotes equality in my classroom.

Teaching STEM at a young age can help encourage more kids to pursue a career in STEM-based fields. STEM fields are significant forces of innovation and development, resulting in modern technology and advances that improve our daily lives.

Teaching STEM in my classroom can encourage exploration and curiosity in my students, as well as teach them about the world around them in a fun, hands-on manner. STEM activities and topics use many different skills, like problem-solving and critical thinking, that work better when kids can interact with the subject material themselves. They can get close and explore what interests them, whether by exploring bugs and plants on the playground or building towers out of blocks.
